La artista, intérprete de éxitos como 'Zombie', se encontraba en Londres, en una sesión de grabación. Su manager ha confirmado el fallecimiento. La causa de la muerte todavía no se revela.
"Los miembros de la familia se encuentran desconsolados tras escuchar las últimas noticias y han pedido privacidad en este momento tan difícil", ha escrito.
The Cranberries —formado por Dolores O'Riordan, el guitarrista Noel Hogan, el bajista Mike Hogan y el batería Fegal Lawler— está considerado uno de los grupos de rock más exitosos de los años 90. Vendió más de 14,5 millones de álbumes solo en EEUU. Saltó a la fama con su primer disco 'Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?'. A partir de 2004, O'Riordan emprendió su carrera en solitario.
