MOSCÚ (Sputnik) — El Gran Premio del concurso de Fotoperiodismo Andréi Stenin fue entregado al fotógrafo italiano Gabriele Cecconi por la serie 'Los Miserables y la Tierra'.

"La principal incógnita del quinto Concurso Internacional de Fotoperiodismo Andréi Stenin se reveló en una ceremonia solemne en el Museo Estatal de Historia. El premio más alto del concurso, el Gran Premio, fue entregado al fotógrafo italiano Gabriele Cecconi por la serie 'Los Miserables y la Tierra'", dice el mensaje.

Leaves and roots are used both as fuel and ingredients for food. A UN report released in September 2018 has estimated that the refugees collect nearly seven thousand tonnes of fuelwood every month. In the absence of agricultural land and regular employment, the Rohingya are dependent on forest produce for most of their daily household needs.

Se aclara que los protagonistas de esta historia son los refugiados rohinyá de los territorios del sur de Bangladés, obligados a migrar, y puestos así al borde de una lenta extinción.

'Momento decesivo en la partida de polo acuático' por Ayanava Sil, la India. Primer puesto en la categoría 'Deporte'

Con la ayuda del color, el claroscuro y el ángulo de la cámara, el fotógrafo transmite la insoportable maleabilidad e inevitabilidad del desastre ambiental que está ocurriendo ante nuestros ojos.

"Es un verdadero privilegio poder competir con otros fotógrafos talentosos en memoria de nuestro joven colega que murió en el cumplimiento de sus responsabilidades profesionales", dijo Cecconi.

Agregó que "esta competición ayuda a mantener vivo a Andréi Stenin y a continuar su trabajo en las obras de los concursantes".

"Espero que esta victoria me dé la oportunidad de transmitir mi historia a más personas, la historia contada por un testigo presencial y su intérprete, es nuestro deber comunicarnos con la gente", dijo Cecconi, citado por el servicio de prensa de la agencia Rossiya Segodnya, matriz de Sputnik.

'Hipnotizada' por Andrea Alai, Italia. Ganadora de la categoría 'Inspiración'

Tras la ceremonia, se inauguró en el Museo Estatal de Historia en Moscú una exposición de los ganadores del concurso, de entrada libre, que estará abierta del 11 al 29 septiembre.

El objetivo del Concurso Internacional de Fotoperiodismo Andréi Stenin, organizado por la agencia de información internacional Rossiya Segodnya, es apoyar a los reporteros jóvenes y promover el periodismo gráfico.
